Engr. P.N. Obidike was born in Isiaku village, Isuofia, Aguato L.G.A. of Anambra State. He attended Government College Umuahia and did his W.A.S.C. in 1956. he did his A-Level at C.K.C Onisha from 1958 - 1959. He graduated from University of London, Zaria Campus Nigeria with a B.S.C (Civil) Engineering in 1964.

Engr. Obidike worked in the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing for 33 years where he rose to the rank of Deputy Director Highways and retired meritoriously in August 1997 on the attainment of 60 years of age.

He holds the title of Nze-Na-Ozo of Eze Ochiliozua 1 of Isuofia by the Igwe of Isuofia conferred in 1993.

At Umuahia, Obidike (then alias R.T.K.) will be remembered as the second best farmer the school ever produced. He was the best carpenter that ever passed through the school. For that the head carpentry master gave him a

special carpentry master gave him a special carpentry price in December 1956 (A saw set). He repaired watches for fellow students ands made some of his pocket money from that hence he got the nick name, RTK (Railway Time Keeper) His first two years were in School House while the rest were in Simpson House.

Obidike’s interest in technical work led to Mr. Drabble, the Acting Principal, appointing him the leader of the student’s toys club and helper whenever the school electricity generator was to be serviced. It was during one of such services that Mr. Drabble told him to study Civil Engineering and he did.

He had contributed so much to the advancement of humanity. He was technical of humanity. He was technical adviser to the Committee for the design and construction of the Community Secondary School Isuofia Rural Electrification Committee. He was instrumental to the establishment of Isuofia Postal Agency which was later upgraded to Post Office.

He also contributed to the development of the Catholic Church in Isuofia. Many youths are graduates today in Isuofia due to his advice and inspiration.

He is married and has children.
